Sound
As a sound designer, Michael has provided sound to numerous collaborative projects with artists and organizations such as Elevator Repair Service, Target Margin Theatre, Deb Margolin, and many others. His designs have been heard at venues such as the Steppenwolf, the Woolly Mammoth, PS 122, the Walker Arts Center, the Public Theatre, Here, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, and the Galway Arts Festival. In 2003, he was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson award for Sound Design. He has also assistant produced and edited pieces aired on Chicago Public Radio. You can hear his work regularly on the podcast Catalogue of Ships a Public Radio Exchange Editor's Pick, which has been rebroadcast on the radio program Re:sound as well as the podcasts Love and Radio, The Third Coast International Audio Festival Listening Room, and The Public Radio Exchange.
